The best images are captured when you completely forget you’re being photographed

I believe the most meaningful photographs happen when people feel comfortable enough to be themselves. When the expectations fall away, the camera becomes an afterthought, and the moments unfold naturally.

I'm Lydia, a Detroit-based wedding photographer who believes there's just as much beauty in the unplanned, imperfect moments as there is in the thoughtfully considered details.

To me, wedding photography is about more than how a day looked. It's about how it felt, the people who were there, and all the little moments that make your story entirely your own.

My approach is rooted in documentary photography, letting moments unfold naturally while bringing an editorial eye to the way I see and compose an image. I'll step in with direction when needed, but always leave room for the real, unplanned moments.

I'm often told that my calm presence makes people feel at ease, and that's something I really value. I also work closely with your planner and creative team to make sure we're all on the same page, bringing your vision to life while giving you the space to be fully present and enjoy your day.

I'm someone who cares about the little things, the people, and making sure you feel genuinely taken care of. I’ll be invested in your day long before I arrive, and fully present from the first moments of getting ready to the last dance. I’m there to anticipate what you might need, help when things get a little chaotic, and notice the moments you may not even realize are happening.

My hope is that you feel comfortable to be yourselves and enjoy every bit of it, knowing I’m looking out for you.

I take on a limited number of weddings each year so I can give every couple the time, care, and attention they deserve. Wedding coverage begins at $8,000, with collections tailored to your plans, whether it's an intimate celebration or a full wedding weekend.
